One of the prominent series for the android smartphone market, the Samsung Galaxy series has released a brand new series for the galaxy, the S22 series. There are three galaxy lineups for the S22 series, the Samsung galaxy s22, Galaxy s22 ultra, and Galaxy s22+. The ultra and + version of the Galaxy S22 is the upgrade, and improvements for the vanilla s22 alone, but the question is, how does the s22 vanilla alone perform? How good is it for the current entry-level phone market? So, here is our review of the Galaxy s22, along with complete specs, and initial thoughts.
Judging from the audience’s review, market reactions, etc. The galaxy s22 series has been one of the most anticipated series of smartphone this year, and the expectations for the trio of s22 has been sky high. The performance quality alone should speak for itself with a faster more efficient chipset and better OS. However, from the upgrades alone, compared with the s22, s22+, and s22 ultra, there aren’t many upgrades, even compared with the s21 ultra. However, there is still a sense of reincarnation from this s22 that brings about the sense of using the galaxy note.
Our Initial Thought Regarding The Samsung Galaxy S22
Many people argued that this flagship series from the Samsung brand has increasingly become boring each year, or become stagnant with upgrades, and tamer with changes. The performances alone are still great though, however, the upgrades and the series alone became not consistent through all the years.
So, what’s new about the vanilla s22? To sum it up, with s22 you will get brand new camera features, a new more efficient chipset, and less battery capacity but it will be offset by a faster and better performing chipset. S22 also has slightly shorter and smaller in design too, and it is considered a ‘compact’ flagship phone something unusual in this very competitive smartphone market.
From the specifications alone, the s22 has great performance, as always with the Galaxy series, with the fast and more efficient chipset, and brand new camera features with up to 50 MP cameras. The s22 itself is good enough to carry the legacy of the Samsung S series as its flagship, but compared with another phone that has a similar chipset, the s22 vanilla is rather basic.

So, what do we get here from specifications, from the chipset alone, the Exynos 2200 for the European market, and Qualcomm SM8450 are one of the brand new chipset that has overall good performance, as it is practically the newer generations of the chipset that can handle most of the tough computing works with ease.
One thing that is exceptional about the S22 is the camera features, the better more efficient chipset, wide memory for RAM and ROM, and also the miscellaneous features such as the Samsung Dex, Bixby natural language commands, and so on.
Although the performance is just as we expect from the Samsung Galaxy S series, the battery capacity performance could be better, and upgrading to the S+ or S Ultra series will get you better battery capacity and fast charging too. The S22+ is having a bigger battery capacity of 4500 mAh, while the S22 Ultra has an ample 5.000 mAh battery.
The differences between the S22 vanilla, S22+, and the S22 Ultra also lie in the different display panels. Although the S22 display is already impressive with the 6.10” Dynamic AMOLED screen, 120 Hz, and the 1080x2350p max resolution, along with 425ppi, and always on display. The s22+ and S22 ultra will go beyond that, bigger size, and crystal clear.
How Worth It Is For The Samsung Galaxy S22?
When speaking of how worth it is for the Galaxy S22, it also depends on your budget. Well, speaking of the budget and price, at least Samsung has remained consistent when it comes to budget and pricing. The S22 starting price is around $800, then it will cost you more if you upgrade its memory, or go for the S22+ or the S22 Ultra.
The $800 starting price is practically the original starting price for the S21, which is a pretty fair deal. Getting the upgraded version of the phone for the same price point is a fairly good deal.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy s22 offers quite a stagnant upgrade from the S21 series, however, the performance is still a solid point from the Samsung s series, and if you are looking for the phones that have solid performance as mid to high-end phones, then nothing can go wrong with this Samsung flagship phone.
